Built in 1870 for J J Hay of Kirkintilloch.

On 3rd February1893, when under the command of Captain J Steel, and on passage from Rothesay on the Isle of Bute to Falkirk on the Forth and Clyde Canal with a cargo of tar, she foundered 1.5 miles SE of Craigmore Pier on Bute. Two of her crew were lost.
