Lascar and her sister ship Anzac were the design used by the Ministry of War Transport for the initial batch of 64 wartime VICs

She is seen below after conversion to diesel and her lum now aft of her wheelhouse. On the right leaving Queen's Dock Glasgow and on the left at sea.
