Built for J Hay. On Christmas day 1882 she collided with the "Doon" which was inbound from Larne and sank about 100 yards off Ayr's North Jetty  

No mention is made of salvage but she clearly lived to sail another day as on 7 March 1894, under the command of Capt J. Cowie, while on passage from Campbeltown to Glasgow with a cargo of draff * she stranded at  Pluck Point, Saddel Bay, Kilbrannan Sound, Argyllshire. She was declared a total loss and her registration withdrawn

* the residue of husks after fermentation of the grain used in brewing, used as a food for cattle
