GOVERNMENT SERVICE

With the admiralty on the Firth of Forth, at Rosyth and Crombie, until sold in 1968

CIVIL USE

Although sold for breaking in 1968 she got a reprieve and was converted into a floating restaurant at Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire, England, as depicted below. On 22 November 1977 she was the victim of an arson attack during the national firemen's strike and extensively damaged.   Some internal renovation took place and she was later sold on by the Admiralty Marshall in 1984 after which, from a photograph which I've seen recently, she appears to have been reasonably fully rebuilt

I understand that she is currently owned by Clearview Enterprises, a Marine Services company in Stourport on Severn and is visible on Google Earth at moorings on the Severn just south of Stourport (at 52.326608,-2.270848) .

The photograph on the left below is of her at Stourport-on-Severn before the fire. The photo on the right is thought to date to around 1999/2000 and clearly shows some of the renovation work done.
