GOVERNMENT SERVICE

One of a batch of motor VICs built by Dunstons as Cased Petrol Carriers. She was intended to go to Sydney Australia but instead ended up in Hong Kong on naval service.

CIVIL USE

She was put up for sale by the Admiralty in 1948 but I have so far not been able to determine the outcome. However, the photograph below shows her alongside the minesweeper HMS Lullington and I have come across a catalogue record (ADM 3502) at the Imperial War Museum which describes this photograph exactly, dating it to 1959 at Singapore Naval Base when Lullington was being re-activated from reserve in preparation for the Indonesian Conflict. There is no informtion on who she was then owned by. Her eventual fate is unknown.
