Owned and operated by J & J Hay throughout her working life.  Her only "claim to fame" appears to have been in June 1930 when, the morning after arriving at Princes Dock in Glasgow with a cargo of timber from Ardentiny, she capsised and sank at her berth. Re-floated, she was soon back in service, a major part of which was coaling the Clyde Port Authority's dredgers. She was eventually scrapped in 1964.

In the photograph below she is seen tied up alongside her fleet-mate "Slav" at Glasgow's Queen's Dock in 1958. Both look to be laden with full loads of coal.
