Owned and operated by J & J Hay throughout her working life. In 1961 she was the last puffer to make her way along the canal to Hay's yard at Kirkintilloch for refit and repair before the canal was closed. She was scrapped in 1964.

There is no information accompanying the photograph below but it certainly looks like Bowling on the Clyde. The absence of a wheelhouse aft of the funnel probably dates it to just before the start of WW2 as I dont see any obvious immediate post-war detritus lying about. The puffer behind her is her 1937-built Hay fleetmate "Texan " but I am unable to make out the identity of the other puffer or the cargo ship behind her. My best efforts with Photoshop suggest that the puffer could be "Glen" something, possibly another four letters? Any offers on either?
