Built for J Hay & Sons, for their own use. 

During WW1 (1914-1918) she was on charter through Wm Baird & Co. to the Ministry of Munitions

On 4th December 1925 she was stranded on Goill Rock in the skerries on the southern approach into Lagavulin on the Isle of Islay. She was carrying a cargo of barley to the local distillery. The wreck itself was reputedly sold for 720 although it is still there. Her cargo was sold for 715.
