Built by Hills for their own account but sold 3 years later to Parlane McFarlane of Arrochar.

In February 1906 she was bought by The Carron Company and re-named "No 8", the second in their fleet tio be so named; the first "No 8" was a dumb lighter and so is not further referred to here.

Sold on to Andrew Hutton & Sons of Middlesborough in January 1923 and finally broken up in December 1950 after 84 years in service.
