Built for Steel & Bennie, Lintie is perhaps a little on the large side (at least for this era) to be classed as a "puffer". She was though employed on similar coastal duties and on services between Glasgow and Greenock. She was clearly too big for either the Forth & Clyde and Crinan Canals.

She passed through several owners, including Clyde Cargo Steamers, and J Shiels of Belfast (1930 MNL listing) before ending her career with Tay Sand Co Ltd of Dundee and being scrapped in 1957.
