Possibly originally built for Dickson & Co but later in the ownership of John McCreath of Hunters Quay until 1926. before passing to William Baillie of Troon.  In 1933 she was again sold, this time to an Alexander McLean of Minerva Street in Glasgow. On 2nd September that same year while on passage from Bowling to Mull under the command of Alexander McLean himself, and with a cargo of coal, she foundered 9 miles from Toberonochy on the Isle of Luing in the First of Lorne.  Her crew escaped in her small boat and all were rescued.

The photograph below shows the Hafton on the Crinan Canal at Ardrishaig. And is that a lovely little Silver I see in the foreground?.
