Built by Hay for their own account as a dumb lighter. She was sold to James Glover of Paisley in 1891 and engined with a 2 cylinder compound unit of 12nhp, built by Donald & Son of Johnstone, Renfrewshire.

Sometime prior to 1900 she was bought by George Halliday of Rothesay in who's ownership she was reputed to have been involved, along with her fleet-mate the "Elizabeth", in a short-lived attempt in 1906 to profit from the dispute between the Caledonian Steam Packet Co and the Millport pier owners by ferrying passengers between The Isle of Cumbrae and the mainland.

She moved on to an owner in Newcastle in the early 1930s before later moving back to the Clyde and reportedly sinking on the 8th January 1950 - I cannot trace any record of this happening in Scottish waters. Information is sought.

The undated photograph below is of her at Rothesay
