Built for Alexander Ross of Greenock. I havn't been able to identify her builder, but she pre-dates R&M's own building yard which was active between 1899 and 1925. Perhaps she was built as a dumb lighter and therefore unrecorded, only later being engined and first registered in 1902? Pure speculation.

She was one of the few of his (and later Ross & Marshall ) vessels to depart from the "light" spelling of their traditional name suffix. By 1920 she is shown as owned by Archibald McLean of Partick, Glasgow.  By 1930, her last MNL entry, she is owned by James K Kirkley of Newcastle-on-Tyne, although still registered at Greenock.

She appears to have led an unremarkable and unrecorded life and her fate is unknown
